Back to business for Storm’s England stars
Fri 26 Feb 2010, 11:05
Surrey Storm’s England athletes are aiming to bounce back from their dramatic 2-1 test series defeat versus Australia in the Co-operative Netball Superleague this week.
Sonia Mkoloma, Geva Mentor, Tamsin Greenway and Rachel Dunn all return to action tonight as Surrey Storm aim to make it 9 wins in a row as they take on Hertfordshire Mavericks at the Hertfordshire Sports Village.
It will be Storm Skipper and England Co-Captain Sonia Mkoloma’s last match for Surrey Storm before she leaves to play for NSW Swifts in the ANZ Championships, also following her to Australia after the match is fellow England defender Geva Mentor who will be jetting off to Adelaide to play for The Thunderbirds.
Last time out Storm defeated Mavericks 43-27 at home but know that it will be another tough encounter against a side which also boasts several England international players and with both England Co-Captains on either side, expect some top class Superleague Netball.
Storm sit at the top of The Co-operative Netball Superleague with a maximum 16 points after 8 games and a whopping goal difference of 214.
The match kicks off at 8pm and Surrey Storm’s youth side Surrey Storm Talent take on Hertfordshire Mavericks Talent before hand at 6pm.
