Surrey Storm are the Co-operative Netball Superleague franchise for the London and South East Region. Storm replaced Brunel Hurricanes as the London and South East Superleague Franchise in August 2009 and Storm's partner The Surrey Sports Park have since invested heavily in to building a world class squad of athletes as well as developing a new netball brand and vision.

Storm are coached by ex England Coach Mary Beardwood. Mary's record speaks for itself, haven been the most successful England coach over the last 2 decades. In 1998 she coached England to a bronze medal in the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games and in the following year she took the England team to Bronze at the Netball World Championships.

Surrey Storm are captained by England attacker Tamsin Greenway who took over the reigns from England Co-Captain and global superstar Sonia Mkoloma in March 2010. Sonia, who has competed in three world championships for England and has also won Commonwealth Bronze captained Storm until she departed down under at the end of March to play in the ANZ Champinships.

Storm's squad has consisted of four England players this season. Sonia and Tamsin have been joined by Geva Mentor and Rachel Dunn. Dunn, Mentor and Greenway all joined Storm pre season after moving from reigning champions Team Bath to join Surrey Storm.

All three have over 120 caps for England and Geva Mentor still remains the youngest ever player to have made a debut in the Senior England team aged just 15 in 2000. She has since developed in to undoubtedly the world's greatest Goal Keeper and remains hot property world wide. Geva also departed at the end of March to compete down under in the semi-professional ANZ Championship for Adelaide Thunderbirds.

In 2009 Sonia Mkoloma, Geva Mentor and Tamsin Greenway were selected in to the World 7 Select team who competed against both Australia and New Zealand.

Storm's foreign players include Australia's Jaime Galley and Kiwi Michelle Hall.

In March 2010 Surrey Storm signed former England defenders Janet Coulburne and Natalie Seaton in the transfer window. Janet has competed for both Jamaica and England and represented England at the 2003 World Championships.
