2016 Long Squad Announced

Surrey Storm coach Tamsin Greenway has picked her long squad ahead of the start of the 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague season.

England shooter Rachel Dunn will once again look to take her place in the squad for the 7th straight season, with hopes of featuring alongside Pamela Cookey and Sophia Candappa, both of whom recently confirmed their spots in the final squad.
 
Fans favourites Hannah Reid and Katy Holland are also looking to make returns, alongside Storm stalwarts Amy Flanagan, Georgia Lees, Katt Ainsworth and Katie Harris.
 
Mikki Austin, who is continuing her recovery from an ACL injury sustained last season, also features in the line-up.
 
Josie Huckle, Becky Gentle and Kat Hayes complete the list of names looking to re-take their positions in the squad this season.
 
Former Team Bath and England U21 mid-courter Yasmin Parsons will challenge for a spot, alongside fellow Storm Next Generation stars Rhea Dixon, Olivia Leach and Fran Williams, all of whom featured in the England side that took gold at the U21 Netball Europe Championships earlier this month.
 
Olivia Emanus (Storm NPL, Storm Next Generation) and Elsa Wakeman (Team South NPL, Storm Next Generation) complete the long squad, with both players also continuing their recoveries from ACL injuries.
 
The players will all take part in training sessions across the coming weeks, with Coach Greenway looking to reduce her squad down in the next month or so and focus preparations for the start of the 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague.

The long squad are next in action on Saturday 14 November when they head to the Bath Sports Village for a three-way tournament with Bath and Hertfordshire Mavericks. Click here for more information and tickets.
