Surrey Storm brought home their first win by defeating Team Northumbria 64-47 in the Vitality Netball Superleague. Storm finally get the taste of victory this season when playing away at Team Northumbria.
Surrey were the first to convert against the home side and kept the ball rolling from there.
Tania Hoffman’s side made 21 interceptions in the game, made Storm untouchable and allowed them to build a big lead over the four quarters.,
Converting 41 of their 57 centre passes, Storm remained strong in the centre third, making it easy work for Rhea Dixon, Sigi Burger and Charmaine Baard in the shooting circle.
Some really strong takes onto ball from our attacking players and some dodgy defence meant Storm pushed their extensive lead all the way to the end of the game to beat Team Northumbria by a comfortable 17 points.
Surrey Storm look to enjoy a three week break from travel and are on the tail end of their string of away games. Storm play against Manchester Thunder next at Wright Robinson College on the 21st April.
