Recap

Surrey Storm suffered a heart-breaking loss at the hands of Team Bath.

Fresh off the back of their first home win of the season against Celtic Dragons, Storm looked to maintain their home form.

From the get go it was clear it was going to be an incredibly tight contest, Bath coming off the better in the first quarter with a 16-19 lead.

The second quarter followed the same pattern, both sides working tirelessly to match the other. Storm found themselves 26-28 down at the half-time break.

Storm excelled in the third quarter, Jo Trip and Lorraine Kowalewska shutting down the Bath attack whilst Katie Harris and Sigi Burger netted goal after goal.

The team’s exceptional play throughout the penultimate quarter gave them a 39-37 advantage heading into the final period.

However it would be Bath who took control in the final quarter, and despite moments of brilliance, Storm fell agonisingly short as the match finished 51-56.
