Surrey Storm vs Hertfordshire Mavericks
2015 Netball Superleague Grand Final

Copper Box Arena
Tickets available online now or watch live on Sky Sports 4 from 6pm
Don’t worry Storm fans- you aren’t the only ones with a sense of déjà vu right now. Few would have put money on the Grand Final being a repeat of the huge round 7 Netball London Live clash, but here we are. Same venue, same teams, same TV cameras, same fans…different reward for the winner.
Netball lovers up and down the country enjoyed an afternoon of thrilling action during last weekend’s semi-finals, as Storm overcame a first half scare to brush Yorkshire Jets aside with a flawless 3rd quarter performance, while Hertfordshire Mavericks upset the odds to defeat Manchester Thunder on the road in the evening centre-pass.
These results mean we have another classic on our hands in this weekend’s Grand Final. Two of the Superleague’s biggest, longest standing rivals will battle it out for glory.
Storm will take the confidence of two wins over Mavericks under their belts this season, having not lost to the Hertfordshire outfit since the 2011 play-offs. One of those victories came in front of a record, sell-out crowd at the Copper Box Arena- the venue for Saturday’s showdown.
Their opponents meanwhile will be rocking after last weekend’s top drawer win over Manchester Thunder, the first time the table toppers had lost all season, and they also hold the one of best defensive records in the league this year.
But the league’s top scorers will not be put off by this and should head into the match favourites to finally lift the Superleague title.
Will Storm’s 4th Grand Final in 6 years prove fruitful for the duck egg blue army? Or will Mavericks once again pull out all the stops to peak when it really matters?
There will be live match coverage on Sky Sports 4 from 6pm, plus updates via the Storm Facebook and Twitter pages. Not a Sky Sports subscriber? Watch via NOW TV for as little as £6.99- click here for info.
