Hoffman takes Director of Netball role

Surrey Storm is delighted to announce that former ANZ Championship coach Tania Hoffman has been appointed as our new Director of Netball.

Hoffman made her breakthrough into elite netball in late 2015 when she took on the role of Assistant Coach at New Zealand outfit Central Pulse, finishing fifth in the NZ Conference of the Trans-Tasman competition.

Her netball CV boasts the completion of various development courses through Netball New Zealand and Sport NZ, and will now step into a new role with Surrey Storm in the UK Netball Superleague to lead the two-times champions towards a third successive title.

After signing Tania said: “Surrey Storm faces many changes and challenges right now, which presents an exciting opportunity to lead the franchise into a new era.

“I am looking forward to working with management and players in building a new legacy at the club.”

Franchise Director Gavin Baker said: “We are really excited to welcome Tania to the club. She will bring a new level of experience and knowledge of the game to now only Surrey Storm but to the Superleague as a whole.”

Following recent player departures, news of signings ahead of the new season are expected to be released in the coming weeks as club management work hard to formulate a fresh, talented team for the new season.
