Itchen College added to the Storm Pathway

Storm add Itchen College Netball Academy to their Pathway locations coached by Storms own Yasmin Parsons

Another academy location has been added to Storms Pathway for the upcoming academic year. Itchen College now makes it seven academies delivered by Storm.

The academy will be for players aged 15 – 19 years who want to start progressing in their netball careers. The training sessions will help drive players into the age group categories and hopefully see them being successful in selection next year for their U15, U17, U19 and U21 teams.

Itchen College will be the first academy to be coached by our very own Storm Super League player Yasmin Parsons and assisted by Shirley Eastwood.

Yasmin commented “I have always wanted to bring the netball south and with Surrey Storm being our closest franchise to the south and close to my heart, I want to help young girls achieve their dreams, just the way I did.

“With the Academy being at Itchen College it will help eliminate long distance travel and provide a balanced lifestyle for a student-athlete.

“I’m excited about exploring the talent around our area and helping build a future for my own franchise. Huge thanks to Itchen College and Surrey Storm for allowing us this opportunity; we are really excited to get started”.

Trial application form for NPL and Academy trials for Surrey Storm Pathway will be posted online Monday 26th July.
