Parsons praises overwhelming support

Yasmin Parsons put in an incredible performance on Monday night as she was named Player of the Match against Severn Stars.

While Storm may have been on the losing end in front of the Sky Sports cameras, Parsons’ performance got the fans on their feet.

The mid-court maestro was quick to praise the Storm support at Surrey Sports Park.

“I remember there was a moment in the third quarter when I think we’d just lost the ball.

“I just felt really overwhelmed, I turned to the crowd and they were just chanting, STORM! STORM!

“It really uplifted me.”

With more sell-out crowds to come this season, Parsons has called for more of the same.

“They’re amazing, they’re our 8th player and we need them every game.

“It just lifts you up as a player and then you want to do it for them, not just for yourself but the fans as well.”

Storm will host UWS Sirens at Surrey Sports Park as they look for their second win of the season against the Scottish side.
