The Opposition
The nation’s most successful Superleague outfit head into the 2016 season with eyes on securing their 6th league title and continue to develop an impressive pedigree of netball talent, with 8 of the bronze medal 2015 World Cup winning squad having played for Team Bath.
Attracting more than 9000 spectators to the University of Bath Sports Training Village for matches during the 2015 season, the former champions will once again welcome big crowds to the West Country this year as they work with a fresh, title-challenging squad.
The Ones to Watch
England international Eboni-Beckford Chambers arrived in Bath during the pre-season period to take the captain’s armband, while South African World Cup stars Lenize Potgeiter and Karla Mostert add more valuable experience to their young squad.
The Squad
Head Coach Kathryn Ratnapala will have a full squad of players to choose from for Saturday’s season opener, including new signings Sophia Candappa and Yamsin Parsons and NPL graduates Rhea Dixon, Elsa Wakeman and Francesca Williams.
Storm fans could also get the chance to welcome Mikki Austin back to the court as she continues her recovery from an injury which saw her sit out of half of the 2015 season.
