Storm announce PlayerLayer as Official Kit Suppliers

Surrey Storm Netball is proud to announce PlayerLayer as our Official Kit Suppliers ahead of the 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague season.

PlayerLayer will provide the two times Superleague champions with a range of performance and training wear, including the brand new dresses that the squad will wear on court.

A rapidly growing British sports brand, PlayerLayer’s roots can be found in baselayer, a product that has helped define the company’s design philosophy; combining modern, innovative design concepts with high performance, premium product.

The unique ability to customise and personalise has allowed PlayerLayer to enjoy considerable growth, both at an amateur and professional level. Now, it is an established British sports brand, becoming more and more influential in the European market and beyond. The deeply engrained ethos of the brand professes the importance of togetherness and pride within a team or organisation. In the words of PlayerLayer “BELONG”.

Surrey Storm Franchise Director, Gavin Baker, said: “After a very competitive tender process we are delighted to be welcoming PlayerLayer to the club and to work with them over the next four years.

“We have always been a club that leads the way on and off court and really pushes the boundaries of the modern game. The Superleague champions need to look the part and we know that PlayerLayer share that attitude with us, while ensuring that the practicalities of preparation and performance are taken into account.”

PlayerLayer Marketing Director, Roderick Bradley, said: “We are proud to be joining forces with Surrey Storm – a British netballing powerhouse.

“The success that they have achieved in their short history is remarkable – winning back-to-back titles is notoriously tough in modern-day sport. Both PlayerLayer and Surrey Storm are young, exciting brands that are hugely ambitious, so it seems a perfect partnership. We have created a look, both on and off the court, which means the Storm will look as impressive as they play.”

Fans who have tickets for Storm’s opening match of the 2017 season this Saturday will get to see the new kit in action, as the defending champions go in search of a hat-trick of title wins starting with a tie against Superleague newbies Severn Stars.

With tickets for all games at Surrey Sports Park close being sold out, fans who want to watch Storm in action this season are being urged to get their tickets for the annual Netball London Live fixture at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday 11th March. Tickets for that game are on sale now at netballlondonlive.com.
