Surrey Storm is delighted to announce the signing of Yasmin Hodge-England for the 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague season.
Able to play at both Goal Shooter and Goal Attack, Hodge-England most recently represented Severn Stars in the 2017 season.
Hodge-England spoke of her excitement to get back into the Superleague.
“I am thrilled to sign for Storm.
“Having experienced the Superleague previously, to be able to play at the high level again with a franchise like Storm is very exciting and I can’t wait to get started.”
She joins Rhea Dixon and Sigi Burger in the shooting line-up for the 2019 season and believes she brings Superleague experience to the side.
“I know what’s required to be successful. I bring a hardworking attitude and want to seize and enjoy every opportunity given to me.”
Having played against Storm previously, she knows just how important the fans can be at Surrey Sports Park.
“Storm is renowned for having a large crowd with a big voice and that will help with the matchday moral.
“I hope I can bring excitement to the fans this year and look forward to hearing all the noise at Surrey Sports Park.”
Director of Netball, Mikki Austin praised the shooter’s dedication and attitude:
“I’m really excited to have Yasmin within our squad this year, she’s a young up and coming talent with Superleague experience.
“She’s been with us for a couple of weeks now, working really hard and she’s ready to hit the ground running.”
