Surrey Storm 50 London Pulse 51

Surrey Storm lose a nail biter against London Pulse at SSP.

Mikki Austin’s team battled all the way back after a tough first quarter, but a late run from Pulse was enough to steal the win at the death.

It was the away team who had the momentum in the first quarter, racing out to a 19-6 lead.

But Storm came rallying back and reduced the lead to five goals heading into the half-time break.

Mikki Austin’s half-time team-talk seemed to pay off, as the home team took the lead in the third quarter and were leading heading into the final period.

A back-and-forth final quarter was won at the death by Pulse with a late run.

Storm are back in action on Friday as we travel to Scotland to take on the Strathclyde Sirens.
