Storm are recruiting for a Physiotherapist!

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Surrey Sports Park for a qualified Physiotherapist to work with Surrey Storm Superleague Netball squad.

Role summary:

The role requires a practitioner with experience of working in a sporting environment and excellent communication skills to lead the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of Surrey Storm players.

The role will be expected to provide a high standard of treatment both during the week before training sessions and at home and away matches.

Forming part of the Performance Team surrounding the squad, the physiotherapist will work closely with the S&C Team and coaching staff and will be expected to contribute in these areas for the development of the players.

An opportunity for private clinical practice hours also available for a suitable candidate.

Person specification:

Applicants must hold the following:

Essential:

• BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
• Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists & HCPC Registration
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
• Experience providing sports massage and taping/strapping to athletes
• Experience of working in sport
• Hold a LUBAS medical or similar sports trauma course

Desirable:

• Higher degree in Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine
• ACPSEM Membership & working towards CPD pathway

Hours of work:

• Tuesday evenings from November, Tuesday & Thursday evening from January (6:30-8:30pm) and weekend matches (February-June inclusive). This may include some Monday & Friday evenings.

Remuneration:

• Training Evenings: £20-25/hr (up to 2hrs/night) dependent upon experience.
• Match fees: £70 home & £140 away
