14 year old Tom Finnegan from Purley and his family were invited to Surrey Sports Park earlier this month as winners of our Stormmobile design competition.
The competition, made possible thanks to our sponsors Kia Dover Garage (Ash) Ltd and Inkpad Print and Design, involved designing a Storm-themed wrap for the infamous Stormmobile.
Tom’s design was picked from over 50 entries to come to life, and he was offered the chance to see it in person before Storm’s match against Loughborough Lightning where he was presented with a framed digital design, an iPad Mini and match tickets for him and his family.
Tom was joined by his 11 year old sister Nicola, who asked her older brother to enter the competition on her behalf after attending a junior netball camp at SSP. Nicola was equally as delighted with the win as Tom after being able to meet Storm fans’ favourite Katy Holland for a photo!
Chris Whitehead, Senior Marketing and Communications Officer at Surrey Storm, said: “We selected Tom’s design as it was perfectly on brand, smart and used action shots to show off the fantastic athletes that we have at Storm.
“It was great to meet Tom and his family and we hope he is proud to see his work come to life!”
