Surrey Storm’s Netball Performance League side will get their 2016 season underway next Friday (5th February) when they host Team South at Surrey Sports Park (5pm centre-pass).
A second home game in a week follows on Saturday 13th February when the Yorkshire Jets travel to Guildford for a 4.30pm centre-pass.
Both of these games take place before the NPL squad’s senior counterparts, who host Team Northumbria and Jets on the same court later on the same days.
Other highlights for the NPL side include another meeting with Hertfordshire Mavericks at the Copper Box Arena at Netball London Live 2016 (3.30pm centre-pass) and a mouth-watering home tie against reigning champions Manchester Thunder on Saturday 16th April (TBC centre-pass).

Last season
Storm finished 4th in last year’s NPL competition, which saw Thunder dominate with 9 wins in 9 outings closely followed by Mavericks with just a single regular season loss.
New coaching set-up
With the departure of Head Coach Emma Blackmore announced in August, Surrey Storm are delighted to announce that Tallisa Haynes and Jane Jewell will take the reins this season.
Storm fans will be familiar with Haynes, who was part of the senior coaching team that took Storm to its first ever NSL title last season. She makes the move to the NPL squad to assist in the development of the club’s youth talent.
Founder of silver CAPS club Shooting Stars Netball Club, Jewell has a strong background in working with young players. The former Hampshire County Academy U16s Head Coach was nominated for a Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award in 2009, in recognition of her dedication to coaching netball.
They will be joined by Louise Hall, who will take the role of Team Manager.
