The game has a rich history with Storm leading 2-1 in the head-to-head and proudly sees an attendance of over 6000 year on year.

It will be coach Tania Hoffman's first time to lead Storm in the Olympic Park, yet Mavericks Assistant Coach Kat Ratnapala is no stranger to the venue having won the Superleague with Storm there last season.

While Mikki Austin and Georgia Lees are among those who have played for Storm several times at the Copper Box, I spoke to some of the new squad to get their thoughts ahead of the clash:

Naida Hutchinson
"I've played at the Copper Box Arena a couple of times against Storm and they're always great, close games. I am looking forward to another close game with a fantastic side.

“Obviously this year I will be on a different team but hopefully we'll get the win. I will be playing against some of my closest friends as well but at the end of the day once you step on that netball court friendship ends and it is all about being the best in that moment in time for your team."

Frankie Wells
After making her Storm debut against Team Northumbria last Saturday, Frankie is looking forward to the opportunity of playing at the venue if selected.

"I am going to be so nervous, I can tell you that! but I will be really excited. Hopefully I can work as hard as the rest of the team and we can get on that court and show the world what we are made of."

Beth Sutherland
The Scottish international also knows what the rivalry between the two-teams is like and had this to say on the Copper Box fixture.

"Last year I was lucky enough to be there though didn’t make court. Sitting on the bench the atmosphere was amazing and hopefully I will get the opportunity to take to the court this year."

Scarlett Williams
"I've done London Live once for Mavericks and now it's a new team and a different group of people. I'm so excited and Storm fans are renouned for being the best out there so I am really looking forward to having their support."

Lorraine Kowalewska
"Just being there and being a part of it is going to be amazing"

Tickets for the game are still available online at netballlondonlive.com. There is likely to be limited availability on the day, so fans are advised to purchase in advance to avoid disappointment.
