PREVIEW: Storm face local derby

Surrey Storm are set to face benecosMavericks in their first competitive game at Surrey Sports Park in 2018.

Storm head into the game on the back of two wins from their last three outings in the Vitality Netball Superleague.

THE OPPOSITION: 

Mavericks currently sit second in the table, with 7 wins and 2 defeats so far.

LAST TIME OUT:

Storm travelled to Hertfordshire in February for a game of epic proportions. Storm fought back to take the game to extra time where Mavericks recorded a dramatic 64-62 win.

ONES TO WATCH:

Mavericks’ side includes former England Netballer Sasha Corbin as well as Frankie Wells who represented Storm last season.

Beth Ecuyer Dale and Razia Quashie also represented Storm’s NPL side.

TEAM NEWS:

Storm’s Mikki Austin made her first appearance of the season following a knee injury and came through the match wins Sirens without any troubles.

She will now push for a place in Tania Hoffman’s starting line-up.
