Scorchers partner with Tickets for Troops

Surrey Scorchers are proud to donate a number of game tickets to charity Tickets for Troops.

Tickets for Troops provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces for a variety of sporting, musical and cultural events. The service offers serving personnel and those medically discharged from the forces since 2001, the well-deserved opportunity to enjoy an event of their choice with their friends and families.

Scorchers has donated tickets for four upcoming 2015/16 BBL fixtures at Surrey Sports Park, allowing up to 50 troops and their families to attend matches for free.

Gavin Baker, Franchise Director of Surrey Scorchers, said: “We are delighted to be able to donate tickets to such a worthy cause.

“This is just a small gesture towards showing our appreciation for the men and women of our Armed Forces. We really hope they enjoy their experience at Surrey Scorchers.”

We will be celebrating our partnership at our home BBL Cup match against the London Lions this Saturday by inviting troops and their families to take part in a special coaching session on the home court pre-game once their tickets have been booked.
