Surrey Storm is thrilled to add another England Rose to the line up ahead of the 2023 VNSL season

The sharpshooter would go on to claim this award in 2019 after moving to Team Bath to continue her netball career alongside studying.

Drakford-Lewis already has represented the Roses 15 times, most recently in her first Commonwealth games in Birmingham. This journey began in 2016 being selected for the Roses Academy where the young GA secured a bronze medal in the U21 Netball World Youth Cup.

It’s a new chapter for me, a really exciting challenge and I can’t wait to join the rest of the girls and build on what was a great season for the squad last year. Bring on 2023!”

Mikki Austin pleased to be bringing Sophie into the team commented: “I am thrilled to welcome Sophie into our Surrey Storm environment.

A deadly accurate GA with movement to burn, Sophie is proven world class in both the GA and WA both domestically and internationally for England Roses, who brings a phenomenal work ethic and determination into our group.

I am extremely excited about the dynamic Sophie will bring to our group and the partnerships she can form.”

Welcome Sophie
