Surrey Storm is thrilled to add another England Rose to the line up ahead of the 2023 VNSL season
Joining former Team Bath teammate Layla Guscoth, Drakeford-Lewis joins the Storm outfit as Storm gains their fourth international signing of the off-season.
Still young in her career Drakeford-Lewis burst onto the seen in 2017 for Mavericks where after her first season was nominated Netball Superleague Young Player of the Year.
The sharpshooter would go on to claim this award in 2019 after moving to Team Bath to continue her netball career alongside studying.
Drakford-Lewis already has represented the Roses 15 times, most recently in her first Commonwealth games in Birmingham. This journey began in 2016 being selected for the Roses Academy where the young GA secured a bronze medal in the U21 Netball World Youth Cup.
The 90.63% shooter excited to join the squad said: ““I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Surrey Storm!
It’s a new chapter for me, a really exciting challenge and I can’t wait to join the rest of the girls and build on what was a great season for the squad last year. Bring on 2023!”
