Storm react to 2018 Commonwealth Games

The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games are over and for England Netball it was a massively successful one.

A last-gasp Helen Housby penalty shot secured England Roses a historical win over the Australia Diamonds, winning the Gold Medal in the process.

The whole world of Netball was captivated as England took gold in the early hours of Sunday, including the Surrey Storm players.

Storm’s Mikki Austin praised the performances of the England side, “What a fantastic achievement it is for every single one of the girls.”

“You can’t even fathom what this will do in terms of pushing the sport forward.

“Netball has been building over the past two or three years in terms of publicity but we just needed that trophy on a world stage so that we can stand up and be noticed.”
