Surrey Storm 42 Manchester Thunder 60

Manchester Thunder took the victory in front of a sold-out Surrey Sports Park.

The reigning Superleague champions took control of the match in the first quarter and didn’t look back to secure the victory on the road.

Ellie Kelk made her Storm debut in the fixture.

It was a physical context from the start and a tight battle was won in the final minute of the quarter by the visitors, who took a six goal lead.

They continued to lead in the second quarter and had a double-digit lead at the half.

An impressive third quarter display from Yas Parsons and Niamh Cooper kept Storm in contention.

But Thunder continued to lead and came away with the 60-42 victory.

Storm are due to be back in action at SSP on 28th March against Severn Stars.

We will keep fans posted with information regarding coronavirus.
