Surrey Storm is delighted to return 4-time Superleague champion Amy Flanagan

Surrey Storm is thrilled to announce throwback signing Amy Flanagan to the 2023 VNSL squad.

After spending a season away from netball Amy Flanagan returns and is back in the duck egg blue.

Flanagan is a 4-time VNSL champion! The Wing defence first won back-to-back with Storm in 2015 and 2016 under Tamsin Greenway before moving to Wasps where she gained a further 2.

Last season Flanagan took a year away from playing within the VNSL. Not completely leaving the game Amy was practising with the Storm squad throughout the 2022 season and complimented the training environment.

Read to be donning the duck egg blue Amy said: “I am really excited to be back in blue, coming into the Sports Park always feels like home to me. It’s where I had my first Superleague season and earliest VNSL memories.

Super excited to getting back on court with the players and being in front of the Storm crowd who are some of the best fans in the league.”

Mikki Austin pleased to be bringing Sophie into the team commented: “We are extremely excited to recruit Amy and welcome her back home to Surrey Storm.

After taking a break from VNSL last season, Amy continued to work within our environment as if she never left. Amy was widely known as one of the best WD/C within the VNSL and brings a level of championship attitude into our club culture.

She has winning pedigree which will raise the standard of our environment. We look forward to seeing Amy run out in Duck egg blue once again.”

Welcome back Amy
