Surrey Storm is thrilled to announce the signing of England Rose and VNSL player of the season Layla Guscoth for the 2023 Superleague campaign.
The 30-year old joins Surrey Storm as one of their star signings this off-season. Guscoth will be joining the Surrey side off the back of outstanding individual season.
Guscoth finished top for intercepts (65), turnovers (108) and third for deflections (86) earning her the biggest individual award you can win as a VNSL player, being voted Vitality Player of the Season.
The athletic Goal Defence was also recognised across the league being selected to the All-Star 7 VNSL team at GD.
Guscoth brings with her a wealth of experience having played at every level possible across Netball. After making her international debut with the Roses in 2012, she has since played at the 2019 World Cup winning a bronze medal as well as the most recent Commonwealth games in her hometown, Birmingham.
At a club level Guscoth has an extensive VNSL career which spans Mavericks from 2011 through to most recently Team Bath. In that time winning a VNSL title, as well as playing overseas in Suncorp Super Netball for Adelaide Thunderbirds.
