Surrey Storm Netball joined forces with Cancer Research UK and Race for Life last weekend for the annual ‘Pink Game’ at Surrey Sports Park.
The whole squad showed their support for the cause by wearing Race for Life t-shirts during the warm-up and while on the bench during the game, with the sold out crowd of 1000 netball fans dressing up in pink t-shirts, hats, scarves and wigs to get behind the charity.
This year’s Pink Game, which saw Storm lose a tight battle with top of the table Manchester Thunder, is the 3rd in successive years held to raise awareness of Cancer Research UK and encourage people to get signed up for Race for Life events across the region.
The Guildford event will return to Surrey Sports Park on Sunday 24th May 2015 as thousands of women and girls are expected to take on the 5K route around the grounds of the University of Surrey.
